Soul Mate

This tutorial was written in PSP XI but could easily be done in all versions of PSP 8 and above

You will need :

Animation Shop 3

My supplies
unzip and open and minimize in PSP

Note that the tubes used in the creation of this image were not made by me and were acquired through free tube sites or groups that I belong to.

Let's start with a new transparent image 400 X 400

Add a new layer

Click Effects/Artistic Effects/Balls and Bubbles set as follows

Now we have a nice bubble

Click Image/resize

Resize this layer

Click Edit Copy

Bring up the image named Background

Click paste as a new layer

Position your bubble as shown in the header

rename this layer bubble

Get your selection tool set on Ellipse and make a selection on your bubble as shown here

Click Selections/Load Save to Alpha Channel (you do not have to name it anything special since it will be the only one)

Deselect

Do NOT move that bubble now

Move to the background layer

Add a new layer 

Highlight the tube named couple

Click Edit copy

Back to our original image

Click Selections/Load Save/Load from Alpha Channel and load that selection we made

Click Paste INTO selection

Deselect

Highlight the background layer and add a new layer name it bottom

Click Layers/Arrange/Send to bottom

Set your foreground to white and your background to #7c1b3f

Set your foreground to gradients

Flood fill your bottom layer

Highlight the background layer

Add a new layer and name it 1heart

Open the little heart image that you have minimized Click Edit/Copy

Close the bubble layer so you can see what you are doing

On the 1 heart layer click Paste as a new selection

Paste it right between the couple's heads as shown here

I zoomed way in so I could see it:)

Now add a new layer and name it 2hearts

Click Paste as a new selection on this new 2hearts layer

Place 2 hearts as shown here

Note that you can see the 1heart on the layer below here

Add a new layer named 3hearts

Place your heart as shown here

Note that you can see the 2hearts on the layer below here

Continue on this way till you have a complete heart drawn out with the little hearts

Name the new layers 4hearts  5hearts  6hearts  7hearts

This is layer 7hearts with the others open below it so you get the idea

Now we want to add the wording

Highlight your bubble layer

Get your text tool set on a plain small font (vector) color #7c1b3f

Type the following

soul mate
Function: noun
1 : a person who is perfectly suited to another in temperament
2 : a person who strongly resembles another in attitudes or beliefs i.e. (your names here)

Place your text as shown in the header and promote to a layer

At this point you can add a new layer and put your name as shown in the header

Click Image/Picture Frame

Keep transparent checked

If you do not wish to have this animated open all your layers and click Layers Merge Visible and export it as a gif

If you DO want it animated continue here

Highlight your bottom layer and keep it highlighted throughout the the rest of this tutorial

Close the top 6 heart layers (only 1heart is visible)

Click Edit/Copy Merged

Open Animation Shop

Click Paste as a new animation

Back to PSP

Open the 2hearts layer (leave the 1heart open as well)

Click Edit/Copy Merged

Back to animation shop

Click paste AFTER current frame

Back to psp

Open the 3hearts layer (leave the 1heart and 2hearts open as well)

Click Edit/Copy Merged

Back to animation shop

Click paste AFTER current frame

Back to psp

Open the 4hearts layer (leave the 1heart and 2hearts and 3hearts open as well)

Click Edit/Copy Merged

Back to animation shop

Click paste AFTER current frame

Back to psp

Open the 5hearts layer (leave the 1heart and 2hearts and 3hearts and 4hearts open as well)

Click Edit/Copy Merged

Back to animation shop

Click paste AFTER current frame

Back to psp

Open the 6hearts layer (leave the 1heart and 2hearts and 3hearts and 4hearts and 5hearts open as well)

Click Edit/Copy Merged

Back to animation shop

Click paste AFTER current frame

Back to psp

Open the 7hearts layer (leave the 1heart and 2hearts and 3hearts and 4hearts and 5hearts and 6hearts open as well)

Click Edit/Copy Merged

Back to animation shop

Click paste AFTER current frame

In Animation Shop

Highlight the last frame only

Click Animation/Frame properties

Set this last frame at 30

Save as an animated gif
