England's best opening stand of the series was followed by a sloppy collapse in Kanpur. Ian Bell and Ravi Bopara ensured there were no early mistakes as they added 79 but India fired an impressive comeback with a steady flow of wickets. On an uneven-paced track, Bopara acquitted himself well in his first crack as opener and was unbeaten on 54. After starts of 12 and 6 in two dismal losses, England were given a steady platform by the new opening combo. The toss, scheduled at 8:30 am local, had been put back because of thick haze and overcast conditions in smoggy Kanpur, and the match was reduced to 49 overs a side. After seven overs, England were 16 for 0, the openers searching for the middle of the bat. Bell was rushed into a few shots, once beaten by Zaheer Khan's bounce and then heaving across the line at Munaf Patel. England promoted Bopara in a bid to power a start and he wasn't entirely convincing early in his innings, fending and prodding at seaming deliveries and only connecting for two punchy boundaries. A second venture down the track from Bell resulted in a rap on the knuckles when Zaheer held back the length, and a leading edge through cover further displayed the nervous start England had. Two pulled fours eased the tension for Bell in 12-run eighth over off Munaf. Thirty-four runs came in the next four overs, Bell moving to 33 from 37 balls, and England's fifty was up in 11 overs. But as he so often has in his one-day career, Bell fell just short of a half-century. Having moved quite effortlessly to 46, he edged Munaf to Dhoni in the 15th over. His 79-run association with Bopara was the best opening stand for England at Kanpur, beating the 71 between Marcus Trescothick and Nick Knight in 2002. Dhoni turned to spin after the first drinks break, operating with the Singhs, Yuvraj and Harbhajan. Kevin Pietersen took on Yuvraj with a driven six over long-on but couldn't dominate Harbhajan, spooning a catch to long-off on 13. Paul Collingwood's dismissal was a gem, set up craftily by Harbhajan. Having tossed up a few offbreaks Harbhajan slipped in the doosra to suck Collingwood further. The ball crept past his bat and Dhoni completed a smart stumping (106 for 3). Bopara's timing had improved, indicative through crisply-struck shots through the off side and deflections through leg. The entire England dressing room stood to applaud his fourth ODI fifty and they will hope he actually goes on to convert this one into something meaningful. Teams: India: 1 Gautam Gambhir, 2 Virender Sehwag, 3 Suresh Raina, 4 Yuvraj Singh, 5 Rohit Sharma, 6 Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt/wk), 7 Yusuf Pathan, 8 Harbhajan Singh, 9 Zaheer Khan, 10 Ishant Sharma, 11 Munaf Patel. England: 1 Matt Prior (wk), 2 Ian Bell, 3 Owais Shah, 4 Kevin Pietersen (capt), 5 Paul Collingwood, 6 Andrew Flintoff, 7 Samit Patel, 8 Ravi Bopara, 9 Stuart Broad, 10 Graeme Swann, 11 James Anderson.

Yuvraj overwhelms England once againNovember 17, 2008India 292 for 9 (Gambhir 70, Yuvraj 118, Pathan 50*, Broad 4-55) beat England 238 (Shah 58, Flintoff 43, Yuvraj 4-28) by 54 runsScorecard and ball-by-ball detailsHow they were out Few would have expected Yuvraj Singh to improve on his performance in Rajkot, where he destroyed England with 138 off 78 balls, but he went one better in Indore, following up his second consecutive century - this time rescuing India from a top-order collapse - by dismissing four of England's top five batsmen. The contest was effectively ended when he got rid of Andrew Flintoff and Kevin Pietersen in the same over, ensuring India won by 54 runs. Just when England's bowlers seemed to exercise control over India's powerful batting line-up, they were once again attacked by Yuvraj, who showed no traces of the back injury that troubled him in Rajkot. England were on top early in the game, having reduced India to 29 for 3, but the hosts recovered through a brisk partnership of 134 for the fourth wicket between Yuvraj and Gautam Gambhir. Yuvraj went on to score 118 off 122 balls and led India to 292 for 9. The target was always going to challenge England and they seemed out of the contest when the asking rate soared towards nine around the 32th over. However, Pietersen decided to take the batting Powerplay and gave Flintoff the licence to break free. He obliged and smashed Harbhajan for three sixes - two over deep midwicket and one straight - in the 33rd over. Flintoff continued his awesome assault and England scored 59 off the final Powerplay, reducing the equation to 110 off 13 overs. Enter Yuvraj and, with the field spread, he trapped Flintoff lbw with a faster one and bowled Pietersen through the bat-pad gap in the space of four balls. Those two blows virtually secured India's 2-0 lead in the series. Yuvraj's spell was the second time he had to fire-fight in the match - India's situation bordered on the dire when he began his innings. This pitch, unlike the batting paradise in Rajkot, was two-paced and had variable bounce. Driving and hitting through the line - a feature of several innings in the first match - was hard, for the speed at which ball came on to bat was slower than the batsmen expected. Stuart Broad used the conditions cleverly, holding his length back and moving the ball into the right-hander, and was rewarded with three wickets in his first spell: Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma were dismissed while playing their shots too early. Yuvraj hit his stride quickly, glancing a no-ball from Andrew Flintoff off his pads four four and pulling the free-hit into the stands at midwicket in the ninth over. Those couple of balls seemed to settle him down and thereafter he placed a flurry of pulls and drives into gaps in the outfield to give the innings direction. Partnering Yuvraj was Gambhir, who grasped the nature of the pitch early and played accordingly. He rarely went hard at the ball and did not play away from the body. His off-side options were restricted because of a strong field but he did not get bogged down, instead nudging and pushing for runs while waiting for the boundary opportunity. England, and Anderson in particular, bowled several deliveries on leg stump which Gambhir flicked to find the boundary either side of the fielder at long leg. India scored only 57 off the first 14 overs but Yuvraj and Gambhir took 106 off the next 16. Gambhir reached his half-century off 56 balls, brought up 1000 runs in 2008, and left England ruing a missed run-out opportunity off the very first ball off the match. Yuvraj took longer to reach his fifty - 61 balls - but his next 61 balls produced 66 runs as he attacked England's weaker bowlers and peppered the leg-side with 12 out of his 17 boundaries. England tried to salvage the situation towards the end of the innings by dismissing Dhoni and Yuvraj just as India were beginning to go for broke. They conceded only 37 off India's Powerplay, taken between the 43rd and 48th over, but were assaulted by Yusuf Pathan, whose late surge included four brutal hits over the long-on and midwicket boundaries. Pathan reached 50 off 29 balls, his maiden ODI half-century, and scored 18 off the final over. India ended with 292 for 9, leaving England with a tough task to win their 500th ODI. Chasing a daunting target England were jolted early by the run-out of Ian Bell. He pushed the ball towards cover, took on India's swiftest fielder - Suresh Raina - but was caught short by Raina's full-length dive and direct hit. India had two other chances to dismiss Prior, on 19 and 28, but first Rohit Sharma failed to hit the stumps at the bowlers' end, and then Yuvraj failed to latch on to a difficult chance at point. The Prior-Shah partnership had an unsure start for the batsmen made the mistake of trying to hit the ball too hard. Shah, in particular, used a lot of bottom hand in his shots on the slow pitch and mistimed several as a result. They improved, though, and added 96 for the second wicket but the run-rate was considerably below what was required. They were dismissed in quick succession, on either side of the 25th over, and the task left for Flintoff and Pietersen to complete was simply beyond them.

DO NOT IGNORE THIS ……. Especially those fond of Maggi…… "CORRECT WAY OF COOKING NOODLES" The correct way to cook instant noodles without harming our bodies and health. `Normally, how we cook the instant noodles is to put the noodles into a pot with water, throw in the powder and let it cook for around 3 minutes and then it's ready to eat. This is the WRONG method of cooking the instant noodles. By doing this, when we actually boil the ingredients in the powder, normally with MSG, it will change the molecular structures of the MSG causing it to be toxic. The other thing that you may or may not realize is that, the noodles are coated with wax and it will take around 4 to 5 days for the body to excrete the wax after you have taken the noodles. CORRECT METHOD : 1. boil the noodles in a pot with water. 2. once the noodles is cooked, take out the noodles, and throw away the water which contains wax. 3. boil another pot of water till boiling and put the noodles into the hot boiling water and then shut the fire. 4. only at this stage when the fire is off, and while the water is very hot, put the ingredient with the powder into the water, to make noodle soup. 5. however, if you need dry noodles, take out the noodles and add the ingredient with the powder and toss it to get dry noodles. Dietician's Note: If you buy plain hakka noodles which you make initially need to boil in water and discard the water. This will soften the noodles but to prevent it from sticking we need to add a tbsp of oil and also the noodles are deep fried partially to make it crunchy and then dusted with flour to prevent it from sticking while boiling. Hence when you buy the noodles they are already made unhealthy and this is the type we use to make stir fry noodles and the regular maggi too is made the same way plus they add MSG/ ajinomoto and other chemical preservatives. A large number of patient with the ages ranging from 18-24 years are ending up with pancreatitis either as a swelling or infection of the pancreas due to regular consumption of instant noodles.... If the frequency is more than 3 times a week, then it is very hazardous… Please share this info and help save a life.

Tell me, son...Have you ever seen God?Student: No, sir.Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?Student: No, sir.Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?Student: No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?Student: Yes.Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?Prof: Yes.Student: And is there such a thing as cold?Prof: Yes.Student: No sir. There isn't.(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat,But we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold.Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?Student: You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light....But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't.If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?Student: Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure.Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavour, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?(The class is in uproar.)Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?(The class breaks out into laughter.)Student: Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable. )Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.Student: That is it sir... The link between man & god is FAITH.That is all that keeps things moving & alive....... .........

Lehman bankruptcy will hit IIM placements With America's fourth largest investment bank Lehman Brothers filing for bankruptcy protection and Merrill Lynch being bought over by the Bank of America, placements at the Indian Institutes of Management will be affected. These financial giants have so far been the biggest recruiters from the IIMs especially from the institutes at Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Calcutta. These have been among the day zero firms on IIM campuses and have made plum job offers. "We are sitting on pre-placement offers from these companies, which go invalid after this development. So, the students will have to go through the regular placement process and look at other companies," said professor Sourav Mukherjee, chairperson, placements, IIM-Bangalore. The institute will write to these banks in the next few weeks to seek clarification on the issue. Last year, IIM Bangalore had received around 20 job offers from the banks.IIM Calcutta has recorded 54 offers so far from these banking banks. Last year, IIM-C received 90 pre-placement offers. Students have been offered international profiles with BCG, Mckinsey, Bain and AT Kearney in the consulting sector and Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers, Barclays, HSBC, Credit Suisse and Citibank in the investment banking sector. The institutes however, are not very enthusiastic of the banking and financial sector doing well on the campus this year."Banking giants like Lehman and Merrill have been the leading paymasters on our campus, offering crore-plus salaries. The confidence of students in the banking sector is collapsing with the bad news from the market," said an IIM professor. The IIMs have decided to host new companies on campus. Many institutes have decided to invite smaller private equity players and wealth management firms. Unlike most years, the banking and financial services sector is not expected to be the best performer on campus this year."As of now, we have not heard of any tremors from the consulting sector so we are certainly pinning our hopes on the sector. The FMCG,marketing, manufacturing, trading and services sectors might also take the lead this year," added a placement official from an IIM.Last year, IIM Ahmedabad placed around 45 per cent of students in the banking and financial sector. Around 37 per cent of students from the institute opted for a job in management consultancy. At IIM Bangalore, while 37 per cent students got placed in consulting jobs, 40 per cent opted for a career in the banking and financial sector.Students are wary of joining investment banks. Says an IIM-A student: "IIM students are no more upbeat about an investment banking job and are finding these jobs risky. Moreover, there is a possibility of jobcuts in the industry following which offers from these banks are less likely to land up during placements."As it is, investment banking had been losing status among students for the past year. Thus development will only accelerate the trend, students say.Gowrish Prabhu, student co ordinator, post graduate programme for executives, IIM-A, says, "Having gained experience in specific areas, the executive programme students will not face any difficulty during placements since very few are interested in taking up jobs in investment banks and financial firms."

CA said on Sunday it would review security arrangements after five bombs went off in the Indian capital on Saturday, killing at least 20 and injuring more than 90 others. "We have done a review of our security advice and it has not changed since last week," CA public affairs manager Peter Young said. "The safety and security advice for India is broadly speaking to exercise caution." Schedule: Australia in IndiaYoung said the organisation would upgrade security for the senior team and the Australia A side which is currently in India. "We will have security in place around the senior team, which is what we always were going to have," he added. Young said CA had consulted with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), which would also upgrade security in and around the dressing rooms and provide escorts for the team to and from the ground. Players will still be allowed to venture outside of the team hotels "within prudent guidelines". Tour will not get cancelled: ShuklaThe Test side are due to leave Australia on Sunday and start the tour with warm-up matches in Jaipur [Images] and Hyderabad. Both cities have been the targets of bombings within the past 13 months. The first Test begins in Bangalore, which was also the site of a bomb attack in July, on Oct. 9. The third Test begins in Delhi on Oct. 29. Australia pulled out of a tour of Pakistan because of security fears and withdrew from the Champions Trophy [Images] due to be held in Pakistan this month for the same reason. The tournament has since been postponed. Warne urges Symonds to return as a better personYoung, however, said the assessment of the security risk was different for each of the countries. "In very broad terms the advice we have is in sharp contrast to what we had for Pakistan, which was that it was not safe to travel (in Pakistan) because the attacks there were targeting westerners," Young said. "The problems (in India) are completely different in intensity and of a different nature." Schedule: Australia in IndiaAustralia in IndiaDateStart timeMatchVenueOct 2-50930 ISTPractice matchHyderabadOct 9-130930 ISTFirst TestBangaloreOct 17-210930 ISTSecond TestMohaliOct 29-Nov 20930 ISTThird TestDelhiNov 6-100930 ISTFourth TestNagpur

Credit card caution: use it wisely With the Supreme Court coming down hard on credit card companies for charging exorbitant interest rates - in excess of 42 per cent a year in many cases - card users can breathe easy, at least for sometime.Credit card companies, on their part, have argued that they need to charge these rates from the 'existing cardholders' for a variety of reasons - cost of courier, cost of marketing, cost of rewards and loyalty programmes and many others. The figure - over 42 per cent a year itself, reminds one of all the 60s and 70s Hindi movies, where a village moneylender charged usurious rates of interest. And the inability of villagers to pay puts them in a financial hellhole. In case of a credit card user, the situation can become quite similar. But here, usually the problem is irresponsible use. Also, a very few take the trouble of reading the card statement properly, which would make them aware of the all the small charges that the card company imposes, even for small requirements like generation of a new pin number or duplicate statements. In other words, a credit card is simply a slickly-packaged, but atrociously-priced personal loan. It has its utilities, but the charges far outweigh the benefits. Here are some of the regular costsInterest cost: The biggest one. This can range from 2.79 - 3.9 per cent per month.Late payment fee: Credit card companies charge Rs 350 per month on outstanding amount less than Rs 10,000. For outstanding balances between Rs 10,000 and Rs 20,000 the charges are Rs 500 and can go up to Rs 600, for higher amounts.Overdraft limit: There is a charge if a customer exceeds the credit limit. This varies from issuer to issuer.Overdue: For overdue accounts and payments that companies collect by sending an executive to the customer, there is a fees of Rs 75.Cash advance: If the card holder withdraws from the ATM, there is a charge of 3 per cent on the total money withdrawn or Rs 300, whichever is higher. For money drawn through a branch, credit card companies levy an additional fee of Rs 500.Joining and annual fees: Considering the competition in the credit card apace, a lot of banks entice customers with no joining fees. Later the card holder is charged the annual fees.Duplicate statement fee: The card issuers, for instance Standard Chartered, charges Rs 25 per statement if the requested statement is more than three months old. Issuers such as SBI [Get Quote] Credit Cards charge Rs 100. (In fact, most representatives at SBI quote a charge for duplicate e-statements as well).Foreign currency transactions: Transactions outside the country are converted into Indian Rupee at a rate suggested by Visa/Master (network infrastructure provider). Apart from charging 2.5 per cent on foreign transactions, banks levy an extra 1 per cent towards reimbursements to Visa/Master.There are other charges on cheque return, pin replacement, card replacement and outstation teledraft. And it does not end there. Even the government penalises expenses on credit cards by charging the customer a service tax of 12.36 per cent on the total value of the transaction. However, even a customer who may roll over, yet prepays as much as possible, (above the minimum 5 per cent) does suffer because of the way the interest on the outstanding amount is calculated. Let's take an example of how credit card companies charge. Typically, most credit cards allow a person to pay between 5-10 per cent of the outstanding. The rest can be rolled over to the next month. But even if the card holder prepays a good 40 per cent of the outstanding bill, the card issuer does not take into consideration this paid amount. Instead, the credit card company keep charging interest on all the transactions made until the entire outstanding is paid off. (See interest pinch)INTEREST PINCH TransactionDetailsTransactionAmount (Rs)1/7/2008Shopping50,0005/7/2008Shopping40,0005/7/2008Dinner10,00021/8/2008Payment Made40,00025/8/2008Groceries4,0008/26/2008Petrol2,000Interest on the entire outstanding balance of Rs 100,000 at 3 per cent a month (July 30 - August 21 - 23 days). Though Rs 40,000 is paid, the interest is charged on the entire Rs 1 lakh and not on Rs 60,000 Interest on Rs 60,000 (remaining balance, after Rs 40,000 is paid) at 3 per cent a month (August 22 - till August 29) Interest on Rs 4,000 at 3 per cent a month on groceries from(August 25 - August 29) Interest on Rs 2,000 at 3 per cent a month on groceries from (August 26 - August 29) Next Month if he just pays the minimum he will be charged 3 per cent on Rs 66,000 and any fresh purchases done As it is clear from the example, even though there is no outstanding balance on June 29, but expenses incurred in August are hitting him very badly.Similarly, cash advances too rob the cardholder of the grace period. In fact, when cash is withdrawn using a credit card, the interest is charged from the same day onwards. In other words, there are a large number of costs that you have to incur in order to maintain a credit card.If not used diligently, credit cards can cause a real strain on finances. Of course, the best way to deal is to keep them as a convenient payment mechanism and to limit purchases. More importantly, it is pertinent that all bills are cleared at the due date. This will ensure that you do not carry forward any balance and, in turn, not incur any exorbitant interest charges. Simple isn't it? But it is like an excellent weight loss plan that few ever implement.

International crude oil prices have fallen over 33 per cent from their recent record highs and are projected to fall further towards $90 per barrel with the second hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico not causing as much loss of production as was initially estimated.Analysts expect oil prices to decline further in the next couple of months as production remains robust and demand for oil and oil products falls, especially in big consumers such as the US, China and Europe, in the face of global economic slowdown.Various factors contributed to the doubling of oil prices between July 2007 and July 2008. Among these was what analysts call the "speculative premium". During this period, the demand for crude oil increased by around 2 per cent, while the supply increased by around a percentage point. Prices, however, doubled, which analysts say was due to traders pushing up rates."However, the speculative element seems to have almost vanished now," said Rohit Nagraj, research analyst at Mumbai-based Angel Broking. Between July and September this year, oil prices have tumbled over 33 per cent. In the same period, traders have sold crude oil futures worth over $39 billion in the US, the primary oil trading centre, Bloomberg News reported earlier this month.Experts say this is the reason oil prices have not climbed in spite of Hurricane Ike the second hurricane to disrupt production of crude oil and petroleum products in the last two weeks threatening oil production units in the Gulf of Mexico. On the other hand, prices have dipped below $100 per barrel, the levels it crossed in April on its way to $147 per barrel in July."Oil prices now will be based primarily on demand-supply economics. That is why there has not been much fluctuation in oil prices despite Hurricane Ike," said Angels Broking's Nagraj.Nagraj, as well as most other analysts, such as Khandwala Securities' [Get Quote] Vinay Nair, project oil prices to hover at $100-105 per barrel during the rest of the year. Nair projects prices to fall to $65-70 per barrel in the next three to four years. They also expect prices to fall further in the immediate future as Chinese oil imports have been falling and vehicle-owners are buying less petrol in the US, the world's largest consumer of crude oil.China, the world's second-largest crude oil importer, saw its July imports falling to the lowest level since January 2005. The International Energy Agency (IEA) also cut its projection for the global oil demand by over 100,000 barrels per day for both this year and the next. The IEA projects oil demand in 2008 to be 86.8 million barrels per day. Supply, however, is projected to be higher at around 88 million barrels per day."The Chinese built huge oil stocks before the Beijing Olympics. They are now using those and are importing less," said an official with Indian Oil Corporation [Get Quote], the country's largest crude oil refiner.Saudi Arabia, the world's largest producer of crude oil and a member of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, has indicated that it will continue to produce crude oil above the quota set by the oil cartel, which supplies 40 per cent of the world's oil."This shows that some Opec members want oil prices to be below $100 per barrel as they see that demand will not be eroded at that level," said another Delhi-based analyst.Iranian Oil Minister Gholamhossein Nozari said crude oil prices were falling because of the rising value of the US dollar, Bloomberg News reported on Monday. "The most important reason for the fall of oil prices in world markets is the dollar's changing rate vis--vis other currencies," Nozari was cited as saying by state-run Shana news agency on Sunday.Crude has declined 33 per cent in the last three months even as the dollar gained about 11 per cent through to the end of last week since touching an all- time low of $1.6038 per euro on July 15.A stronger dollar reduces the attractiveness of dollar-denominated commodities such as crude oil.

It could happen to any one of us. Wake up one morning to discover that the Indian Mujahideen [Images] has hacked into our Internet account and sent out a chilling mail claiming responsibility for a terror attack on the nation. The e-mails sent out in the aftermath of the Delhi and Ahmedabad blasts reveal that the Indian Mujhahideen hacked into unsecure WiFi networks to send out the terror e-mail. While this trend may continue thanks to the number of IT professionals on the Students Islamic Movement of India/Indian Mujahideen rolls, it is up to us to ensure that we take utmost care while using the Internet.Sameer Shekle, co-founder and COO, Aujas Networks, a digital security services provider, says Internet users could adopt the following methods to ensure that s/he is safe.Disabling the SSID broadcast. To some extent this makes it difficult for the hacker to detect the presence of a WiFi access point. Enable MAC address filter. Each network interface has a unique MAC address, by filtering it, one can to an extent control which machines can use the access point. Turn on WPA/WEP encryption. This ensures that traffic between a legitimate machine and an access point is not readable. Change default admin passwords for access points. Ensure access points are placed securely. In the centre of a room/office etc to minimise its signal strength outside the office.Even after following the above precautions, your WiFI account could be compromised and hence, the things to look at are:Monitor usage of the access point. Have a clear inventory and knowledge about the position of each access point. Monitor the usage of the Internet link, to know what traffic is going out. For example, some corporate block e-mail providers like yahoo or hotmail. Hence, even if the access point is compromised, the hacker may not be able to use public e-mail systems. Consider a specific security policy for wireless networks. For example, most companies primarily use wired networks in the office as the primary media. Access points are used in common areas like conferences rooms etc. Hence, strict policies can be deployed on wireless networks as compared to wired networks.Role of Digital Forensics: Digital Forensics means the analysis of electronic media to detect forgery or manipulation. It is used to identify possible culprits and also to gather legal evidence to be used for prosecution.Digital Forensics is a highly-specialised area and if not done using the right skills and tools could lead to evidence being deleted or not usable in the court of law. It is similar to that of criminal forensics and hence needs special skills and tools. Hence, it would be advisable for companies to understand their responsibility and the do's and don'ts during a breach.Public e-mails systems have limited information about its users and normally provide it to law enforcement agencies on special request. This information is picked up during e-mail ID creation, usage etc. Most usual information picked up is the source of the Internet Protocol, which can be masked using techniques like using others' WiFi networks. Hence, unless e-mail providers enable higher security mechanisms like special authentication while creating users not much can be done. It is not easy for e-mail providers to do this as, by definition, these e-mail systems are free and open for people to use.

BIG DREAMS BIG PROBLEMS In the past two years, over 220 private sector companies have announced investment plans adding up to over Rs25,00,000 crore. As India finds itself staring at a severe slowdown, these mega projects will have to be postponed analyse Sucheta Dalal & Debashis BasuOn a drive from Delhi, a top fashion-designer surprised us by saying that the market for designer clothes had completely dried up. "Nobody seems to be spending on clothes anymore," she said, of a business that was always considered immune to inflation or slowdown because it catered to a sliver of India's super rich. Our impression that she was exaggerating was quickly dispelled on hearing her worry about high interest rates and equated monthly instalments. If this is the state of haute couture, is it any wonder that big-brand retailers are rapidly shutting shop? Here are some more straws in the wind:• Jet Airways has put its global expansion plan on hold for a year because of high fuel prices. It had acquired a plot of land at Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai where it planned to build its office tower. Last heard, it wanted to get rid of that plot. • In a burst of candour, Kishore Biyani, chairman of Pantaloon Retail, told Wall Street Journal, "I was an eternal optimist; now I have become a realist. Everybody has miscalculated. " Biyani was among the earliest to acquire prime real estate in order to extract the best pricing advantage for his massive retail plans. If he admits to miscalculation, is it any surprise that Hanesbrands Inc closed 20 Straps stores selling wildly expensive lingerie? Or that Wal-Mart is quiet about its Indian expansion plans? Most of them were clueless about the price-sensitivity of the Indian market.• Every one of the top brokerage firms is cutting costs, shedding staff and closing down unviable branches.• After a five-year phase of super profits, hotel occupancies are dropping significantly. The smarter ones have quickly brought tariffs to more realistic levels and are re-assessing investment in new properties. "I expect that some of the developers who have bought land at exorbitant prices will not have the wherewithal to complete the development, " HDFC chairman Deepak Parekh told a reporter. The above pointers reflect the most visible signs of a slowdown. What about the less visible aspect – the mega plans to take advantage of the next phase of the Indian growth story? As India heads into a decisive slowdown, the CEO of one of India's fastest growing finance and infrastructure groups told us, "Look out for all companies that have announced capex plans of Rs5,000 crore and above, most of them are unlikely to go ahead with their plans." We did just that and MoneyLIFE's research desk came up with a list of 220 companies that had announced investment in excess of Rs5,000 crore per project that totalled up to a stupendous Rs25,00,000 crore, clustered around real estate, steel, power and other infrastructure. Will these mega plans materialise? "We are headed for really tough times. It is not just a slowdown, things have ground to a halt and that too very suddenly," says the founder-owner of a large conglomerate. R Ravimohan, chairman of the rating agency CRISIL, says, "There is certainly a slowdown and dislocation of markets. My fear is that it will only get worse. Because of the restrictions on overseas borrowings, lack of a corporate bond market and the stock market having gone down, companies will have to depend only on Indian banks and private equity as the primary source of funding. PE funding is still happening, but they are asking for stiffer terms. So,very large projects will have to go to banks for almost 70% of their funding needs. Most companies don't have the balance sheet to raise the money and interest rates are as high as 14%-15%, which raises issues of viability for many projects." Economist and business consultant Omkar Goswami, who sits on the boards of several blue-chip companies, strikes a different note. He says, "There is, indeed, a slowdown; the days of super profits are over and the impact of this will start to show in the second quarter. However, nobody, who has already achieved financial closure, is dropping any project. Some of them are seeking a restructuring of their loans due to high interest costs. This, however, does not apply to sectors such as realty, auto, auto components, etc, where the pain is very real. Yet, overall, I don't see the kind of pain there was in the 1997-98 period. Yes, there have been a lot of project announcements and those will not materialise, but those were more newsflow-driven announcements rather than real plans." Well, the news-flows certainly helped push their stock prices to attract large investment, especially from private-equity funds. Ravimohan provides another dimension to this view. He says, businesses such as realty, agriculture, agro-processing and films, that were funded by the parallel economy, are now coming into the formal economy and getting better recognition in formal economic numbers. This accounts for 1%-2% of IdiaÂ's GDP. It will ensure that GDP growth remains around 7%.Others we spoke to are far less optimistic. "Nobody wants to go on record saying things are bad, but there will be no action on new projects and they will quietly be dropped," says an industry source. Here is the story of how the grandiose Indian dream of mega projects and rapid growth is beginning to turn sour, primarily in three sectors: power, steel and real estate.1. Power Sector: If retail is the most visible face of the slowdown, then the power sector is where the maximum "ultra mega" projects have been announced; but only a few are actually under implementation or likely to come up. Also, most new projects are in the northern states of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Orissa and West Bengal and are either gas or coal-based. On paper, India has a huge power shortage but, in the absence of commercial pricing of power, the viability of projects will also depend on State policies. According to the CMIE database, 86 mega power projects with an investment of over Rs5,000 crore each have been announced. Only 29 of these are actually under implementation and the largest chunk of them is being set up by public sector companies, mainly NTPC and Neyveli Lignite. Among private players, there is the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group (ADAG), Tata Power, India Bulls and Jindal Steel & Power. ADAG has three projects under implementation – Dadri, Hirma and Krishnapatnam (investment totalling Rs76,000 crore) – of which two are going strong and one is doubtful for various reasons. Tata Power has three mega projects under implementation and Jindal Steel & Power's Rs10,000 crore Hazaribagh Project is under construction. Indiabulls has a coal-based project under implementation at Chhattisgarh. In most other cases, there are mere announcements and negotiations. The most spectacular plans in the power sector come from a steel magnate in a great hurry – Sajjan Jindal. In the boom of the mid-1990s, Jindal got into a major financial mess with reckless expansion and massive fund raising from retail investors and Indian financial institutions. As we head into another slowdown, the group has again 'announced' a series of projects with outlays exceeding Rs5,000 crore each: JSW Energy's Chhindwada coal-based power project (Rs5,500 crore) in Madhya Pradesh, Palamu coal-based power project (Rs6,400 crore) in Jharkhand and Sambalpur coal-based power project (Rs6,400 crore) in Orissa. Under JSW Steel, it has another coal-based power project in Kutch, Gujarat (Rs6,000 crore). Will Sajjan Jindal be able to raise equity in this market, given his past track record? And, if he does raise it, will banks and institutions fund all these projects when capital turns scarce and expensive? The Ispat group, controlled by Pramod and Vinod Mittal, had been delaying institutional repayments until a couple of years ago. Now, with high commodity prices improving cash flows, they have been drawing up mega plans in steel and power. Ispat Energy has announced a Rs6,000 crore power project at Dolvi, Maharashtra (near their steel plant) and another Rs8,000 crore project at Jharkhand. Separately, Ispat Industries is planning a Rs5,300 crore project in Chhattisgarh. Other mega plans in the power sector include those of Indiabulls, Adani, Lanco Infratech, Torrent, Videocon, KSK Energy and DS Construction. It is virtually impossible for most of these projects to see the light of day, partly because there are structural problems specific to power. "The power sector is really caught in a no-man's land. We need the projects, but the sector is regulation-driven and there isn't enough clarity on market-determined pricing of power, although we are headed in that direction. The cross subsidy to state distribution companies is also unresolved, so there are going to be high risk issues," says Ravimohan. A leading industrialist, with large infrastructure projects, has another view. He says, every single power project, which has not yet tied up its finances, has seen a 70%-100% increase in cost. This is because domestic interest rates have shot up, external commercial borrowing has become expensive and the weaker rupee has added to the cost of hedging forex risk.2. Steel: The steel industry's fortunes turned around in March 2002 after a decade of poor growth and, for the next six years, there was a global boom, mainly due to the extraordinary demand from China. The period saw prices of everything – from iron ore to finished steel as well as chromium and nickel (used to make alloy steel and stainless steel) – shooting through the roof. From 2003, domestic demand took over, as low interest rates and higher disposable incomes fuelled India's economic growth, which benefited basic industries like steel and cement. India's steel output grew an uprecedented 12% annually in the years ended March 2006 and 2007. And, India became the world's fifth largest producer of steel with a production of 52 million tonnes of finished steel in 2007-08. This led to a burst of expansion plans and new projects by steel czars and wannabes. As happens in every prolonged economic boom, businessmen have drawn up project plans as if the boom will last forever. Thanks to the massive profits earned in the past few years, businessmen (and investors) are overestimating demand and underestimating supply. This happens at the peak of every business cycle. On the supply side, each business house is focused on its own project, unmindful of the plans of other steel companies. Consequently, everybody from global giants like Posco, Tata Steel and Mittal Steel, to public sector giants such as Steel Authority of India (SAIL) and National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), second-rung players like the three Jindal brothers, Bhushan Steel, controversial companies such as Ispat Industries and Mesco Steel, to Johnny-come- lately-players like Sarda Energy and Minerals, Jai Balaji, Adhunik Metaliks, Godawari Power and Ispat (who all have secured mines) are all going ahead with their mega expansion plans, unconcerned about overall capacity additions. During the last quarter of 2007-08 alone, the industry announced capacity expansion plans of nearly 31 million tonnes.Arcelor Mittal, the world's largest steel-maker, plans to set up two greenfield projects of 12 million tonnes each.Korean giant Posco plans a 12 million tonnes plant. Old warhorses, Tata Steel and SAIL plan to add 25 million tonnes between them. The plans of some private sector companies are simply breathtaking in their audacity. Sajjan Jindal, who barely escaped the clutches of bankruptcy due to a lucky turn of events after 2003 and generous restructuring of loans by Indian financial institutions, plans to set up 10 million tonnes steel projects in Jharkhand and West Bengal (Rs35,000 crore each), apart from several mega power and port projects that will cost thousands of crores each!On conservative estimates, if the currently planned steel projects materialise, India will have over 150 million tones of steel capacity by 2015. This means that, in just seven years, India will add 200% additional capacity to what we had built over the 55 years since independence. Besides, steel companies will have to find US$70 billion to finance the 100 million tonnes capacity addition. It will be difficult to raise this money from the equity markets and, with tighter liquidity and higher interest rates, banks will not be in a position to finance much of this. This will inevitably stall most projects that are still on the drawing board. That is just as well. After all, what is such ambitious expansion based on? Businessmen are betting on high demand growth to continue. There are also rosy estimates by stockbrokers (Credit Suisse), the government (Inter Ministerial Group) and steel companies that consumption of steel will grow by as high as 16% for the next five years. But actual demand is slowing. For the first quarter of 2008-09, finished steel production went up by just 4.5%, although total consumption growth was higher, with certain grades of steel being imported. Key consuming sectors like infrastructure, construction, housing, automotive and consumer durables have already slowed down considerably, making it dangerous to extrapolate from the past.To get the complete picture of the supply scenario, one must take into account the ambitious global forays such as Tata Steel's acquisition of Corus Steel, Essar Global's purchase of Canada's Algoma Steel and US-based Minnesota Steel and Naveen Jindal's (Jindal Steel & Power Ltd) contract to develop one of the world's largest iron-ore deposits, El Mutun, in Bolivia. If businessmen were looking for global rewards, these come with a set of risks. 3. Realty/SEZ: If 2000 was the dotcom bubble, then 2007 could be billed as the realty bubble. Almost every industrialist drew plans to set up his own Special Economic Zone (SEZ), but these projects are politically sensitive; most have turned controversial. A source in the business says, "After conflicts at Nandigram and Singur in West Bengal and Posco in Orissa, there is no likelihood of fresh land acquisitions until after the eneral elections. Smaller SEZs who have already acquired land will go ahead, but the mega ones, that depended on the State to acquire land, will not materialise. Their viability itself has changed because of higher compensation for land, increased interest rates and slowing demand. Companies that are well-capitalised and not over-leveraged stand a better chance of finding funds, but where the land is not already acquired, there will be no progress. Land-locked SEZs will also have problems if they are dependent on development of other infrastructure such as ports or bridges to move goods." Outside the SEZs, the realty sector is segmented. The mall mania is over, so is the development that was predicated on demand from the information technology or financial services sectors. Demand for residential property remains intact, but only at realistic prices. Large retailers were worst hit by high realty prices and the unwillingness of Indian consumers to overpay for shopping in fancy malls. Most realty projects are in the Rs1,000 crore-Rs3,000 crore investment range; there are only three projects with investment in excess of Rs5,000 crore – Unitech's Grande, Emaar MGF's Palm Drive (Rs8,500 crore) in Gachibowli, Hyderabad and BPTP's Parkland Township (Rs7,500 crore) project. Of these, Unitech's Grande is slightly better off, since it is a completed project.Media reports say that DLF shows no sign of construction at the expensive Parel mill land purchased for a huge Rs702 crore. In West Bengal, it is threatening to exit from the prestigious Rs33,000 crore project at Dankuni near Kolkata. DLF has paid Rs270 crore as advance to the state government but only 20 acres (out of over 4,840 acres) have been acquired so far. Big realty firms like Unitech, Parsvnath, Sobha, Housing Development Infrastructure and Omaxe are not rushing to acquire additional land and are focusing on executing existing projects. They may also have to shelve ambitious diversification projects into telecom and other businesses. Inflation and interest rates remain stubbornly high; retail spending has skidded to a halt; certain market segments that were supposed to be high-growth areas are turning out to be a mirage; and liquidity is rapidly drying up as investors are unwilling to buy expensive stocks, based entirely on the promise of future growth. Clearly, the mega dreams and grandiose plans of Indian businessmen have to be put on hold, for now. Cement Coming Unstuck: Among the worst performers in the stock market over the past year were cement companies. They were first hit by a government diktat to control prices and also higher international coal prices. But they have a basic problem ahead: grappling with a demand-supply mismatch. Cement, like steel, was one of the earliest to take advantage of the boom. These companies have enjoyed the longest part of the up-cycle and have been emboldened to plan huge expansions. Close to 49 million tonnes of new capacity will be added during FY09. Viewed against the perspective of domestic production of 167 million tonnes in FY08, a clear overcapacity looms ahead for the industry. The Cement Manufacturers' Association estimates that over 75mtpa capacity will be added across India over the next two years. This would take the country's cement capacity to over 260mtpa. Unless the economy grows in double-digits, a 40% rise in capacity will take a long time to get absorbed. We seem headed for a glut in cement and softer prices.> This is the link for original article BIG DREAMS BIG PROBLEMS -

But there are important differences between thestyle and content of these types of emails. The following are sometips to help you communicate appropriately on business email.1. Be careful what you say in emails. Remember that this is stillprofessional communication. Re-read your emails before you send themto ensure you have been professional.2. Think before you write, and think again before you send.5. If the email is particularly important, it may be beneficial to getsomeone else to read it before sending to a wider group. Often someoneelse will see flaws in your approach, and change the wording to bemore objective.6. Business email should also protect confidentiality of the business,so be aware of what you are sending externally.7. Question whether you need an email at all. Would this be betterdone through a phone call or a meeting? If you think you are emotionalabout the issue, speaking about it can be better than writing so yourthoughts are not captured in an email which may jeopardise yourposition later.8.
Jenny was a bright-eyed, pretty five-year-old girl. One day when she and her mother were checking out at the grocery store, Jenny saw a plastic pearl necklace priced at $2.50. How she wanted that necklace and when she asked her mother if she would buy it for her, her mother said, "Well, it is a pretty necklace, but it costs an awful lot of money. I'll tell you what. I'll buy you the necklace, and when we get home we can make up a list of chores that you can do to pay for the necklace. And don't forget that for your birthday Grandma just might give you a whole dollar bill, too. Okay?"Jenny agreed, and her mother bought the pearl necklace for her. Jenny worked on her chores very hard every day, and sure enough, her Grandma gave her a brand new dollar bill for her birthday. Soon Jenny had paid off the pearls. How Jenny loved those pearls. She wore them everywhere to kindergarten, bed, and when she went out with her mother to run errands. The only time she didn't wear them was in the shower - her mother had told her that they would turn her neck green. Now Jenny had a very loving daddy. When Jenny went to bed, he would get up from his favorite chair every night and read Jenny her favorite story. One night when he finished the story, he said, "Jenny, do you love me?""Oh yes, Daddy, you know I love you," the little girl said."Well, then, give me your pearls.""Oh! Daddy, not my pearls!" Jenny said. "But you can have Rosie, my favorite doll. Remember her? You gave her to me last year for my birthday. And you can have her tea party outfit, too. Okay?""Oh no, darling, that's okay." Her father brushed her cheek with a kiss. "Good night, little one." A week later, her father once again asked Jenny after her story, "Do you love me?""Oh yes, Daddy, you know I love you.""Well, then, give me your pearls.""Oh, Daddy, not my pearls! But you can have Ribbons, my toy horse. Do you remember her? She's my favorite. Her hair is so soft, and you can play with it and braid it and everything. You can have Ribbons if you want her, Daddy," the little girl said to her father."No, that's okay," her father said and brushed her cheek again with a kiss. "God bless you, little one. Sweet dreams."Several days later, when Jenny's father came in to read her a story, Jenny was sitting on her bed and her lip was trembling. "Here, Daddy," she said, and held out her hand. She opened it and her beloved pearl necklace was inside. She let it slip into her father's hand. With one hand her father held the plastic pearls and with the other he pulled out of his pocket a blue velvet box.Inside of the box were real, genuine, beautiful pearls. He had them all along. He was waiting for Jenny to give up the cheap stuff so he could give her the real thing. So it is with our Heavenly Father. He is waiting for us to give up the cheap things in our lives so that he can give us beautiful treasure. Isn't God good? Are you holding onto things which God wants you to let go of?Are you holding onto harmful or unnecessary partners, relationships, habits and activities which you have become so attached to that it seems impossible to let go?Sometimes it is so hard to see what is in the other hand but do believe this one thing....... ......... .God will never take away something without giving you something better in its place.

Nokia definitely has the most interesting concept phones. Nokia 888 Communicator is a striking futuristic concept phone. The phone, which uses liquid batteries, speech recognition, flexible touchscreen and touch-sensitive body cover,is designed by Tamer Nakisci and won the Nokia Design Award. Nokia AeonNokia Aeon was presented by Nokia on their website in the Research & Development section. What is so great about this phone is that it looks like it will actually go into production next February. Of course, its just a rumor, but still, makes us hope to actually see it someday in the GSM shop. All we know about it for now is that its a touchscreen phone and it looks fantastic. Sky “Sleak n Slim”“Sleek & Slim” from SKY is another concept based on touchscreen technology. The phone has a discretely glowing touchpad, hideaway keys and generally utterly-fashionable minimalist design. Benq-Siemes “Snaked”Benq designers thought of women too and presented Snaked. This is a “reptile” looking phone, creepy somehow, but still is very cool. The Snaked is a fashion phone for sport loving women, because it also has body monitoring sensors to help the ladies keep those fine shapes. What You See is What You Get ConceptOne thing is for sure about this concept phone, they could’ve named it shorter. Designed by Pei-Hua Hang, the phone’s name comes from the fact that this concept no longer uses an LCD as viewfinder for the digital camera, instead it uses a transparent frame. And of course, interaction is made through a touchscreen. Retroxis By Dark LabelIf most phones presented here will never be sold in store for sure, the Retroxis concept phone from Dark Label looks kinda human, and makes us hope we’ll be able to get one of these one day. Designed by Lim Sze Tat the phone is encased in high polished polycarbonate renowned for its lightweight and toughness and has an invisible OLED display that silently hides away when inactive. Benq-Siemens “The Blackbox”Black Box designed by Benq-Siemens uses a touch screen as its keypad and, depending on the functions you are using, the touch screen changes the control layout immediately. NEC TagSomehow similar to the Snaked concept, the NEC Tag is a flexible phone concept that can be , for example, hung from a belt or wrapped around the user’s arm. Interesting is that the phone has shape-memorizing material and sensors that allows the phone to change its shape according to the mode. TripleWatchThough the idea of a cellphone watch is not so new, the TripleWatch designed by Manon Maneenawa has an interesting triple flip technique that allows the user to transform the watch into a normal cellphone. When used as a wrist watch, the phone has a speaker button that allows the user to answer the phone and hang up while driving.

Raina's invaluable knock of 76 in the fourth One Day International on Wednesday not only earned him the Man of the Match award but also helped India take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series.'I was able to read both Murali and Mendis'August 28, 2008 The left-hander attributed his knock to his ability to read the Sri Lankan spinners and said he could pick Mendis off his hand. "I was watching their hands, especially Mendis. My plan was that if I can read his hand I can play well. That was the game plan." he said. "I think I was able to read both Murali and Mendis well. Scoring 76 and helping my team win is satisfying," he added. 'We learn a lot from Dhoni'August 28, 2008 Raina was all praise for captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his constant support and leadership skills. "Whenever we are at the nets or batting together, he tells me how to plan. He is such a class reader of the game, he always plays with responsibility. We learn a lot from him while batting with him. It is good we got partnerships in two matches." The Uttar Pradesh batsman said the young brigade under Dhoni wanted to do well in Sri Lanka after the Asia Cup disappointment. "Since we lost the final of Asia Cup in Pakistan, we were very keen to do well in Sri Lanka. We put up a good show here and won a historic series," he said. 'I learnt a lot from the IPL'August 28, 2008 Raina credited his current fine form to the support staff and his stint in the Indian Premier League in which he played for Chennai Superkings. "I am getting into good shape now and thanks to the people who gave me support, like Robin Singh, coach Gary Kirsten, Venkatesh Prasad and others. They gave me lots of support. Hopefully, I will play with the same intensity," he said. "I think I have also improved a lot after playing the IPL [Indian Premier League]. I learnt a lot from there. My batting is coming on well. The hesitation of playing big shots also seems to have gone from the mind."

Guests will arrive at the hotel by yacht, which will also stop at a planned land-based hydrotower, scheduled to open for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.Ice HotelQuebec, CanadaThe Ice Hotel is created anew each year out of 15,000 pounds of snow and 500 pounds of ice. The 34-room hotel features an ice chapel, two art galleries and a host of outdoor activities. The temperature inside the hotel ranges from 23 to 28 degrees Fahrenheit, and the beds are carved from ice. You don't sleep directly on the ice, though--there' s a wooden plank between the ice and a comfy mattress, plus you're insulated with a special sleeping bag that can withstand the harshest climes (-40 degrees Fahrenheit). Happily, the bathrooms are not frigid--the heated facilities are in the adjacent hotel. Casablanca HotelNew York CityEver wanted to live like Bogey? The 48-room Casablanca Hotel in Times Square features a Moroccan décor complemented by Rick's Café, named for the restaurant in the classic 1942 film featuring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.Propeller Island City LodgeBerlin, GermanyWould you rather sleep in a coffin or in a bed atop a castle? These are just a couple of options available when visiting the Propeller Island City Lodge, where each of the 31 rooms embrace a different theme. From the orange room to the symbol room--tiled entirely with wooden blocks painted with 300 different symbols--this gallery-esque spot gets those creative juices pumping.Library HotelNew York CityAppropriately located near the New York Public Library, the hotel has 60 rooms on 10 floors. Each floor is designed after one of the 10 categories of the Dewey Decimal System, such as Math and Science and Religion, and each room houses part of the hotel's collection of 6,000 books. The Pitcher InnWarren, Vt.The nine rooms and two suites at The Pitcher Inn are designed on themes such as "School," "Trout" and "Calvin Coolidge." We're not just talking variations in wallpaper--the "Stable" suite has a hay chute opening into it. Guests don't rough it, however. The inn is a Relais and Chateaux property, and it includes a spa and dining room that uses fresh local and regional ingredients.Ariau Towers HotelBrazilNot for the acrophobic, this hotel lets you sleep in the treetops of the Amazon Rainforest. "Tarzan's house," for example, is perched on stilts 80 feet above the ground. Situated on the bank of the Negro River, Ariau's apartments, suites and tree houses are linked by a series of catwalks.Beckham Creek Cave HavenParthenon, Ark.A "luxurious cave" may sound like the ultimate contradiction. This property, built into the Ozark Mountains, features natural rock walls and ceilings as well as Jacuzzi bathtubs and large windows for letting in light. Built as a Cold War bomb shelter by John Hay, founder of Celestial Seasonings tea, it's now a base from which to hike, bike and explore local springs.WinvianMorris, Conn.At Winvian, lodging options range from a helicopter to a log cabin. The hotel features 18 individually designed cottages and one suite located in the main house. Included in the rates are all meals and drinks (excluding a reserve wine list), Vespa scooters, horseback riding and other activities.Jules Undersea

He used to earn his bread by selling those programs in the Sunday market. One day, while he was working, his machine tumbled off the table and fell in the river. Encouraged by the Panchatantra story of his childhood (the woodcutter and the axe),He started praying to the River Goddess. The River Goddess wanted to test him and so appeared only after one month of rigorous prayers. The engineer told her that he had lost his computer in the river. As usual, the Goddess wanted to test his honesty. She showed him a match box and asked, "Is this your computer ?" Disappointed by the Goddess' lack of computer awareness, the engineer replied, "No."She next showed him a pocket-sized calculator and asked if that was his.Annoyed, the engineer said "No, not at all!!"Finally, she came up with his own Pentium machine and asked if it was his.The engineer, left with no option, sighed and said "Yes."The River Goddess was happy with his honesty. She was about to giveHim all three items, but before she could make the offer, the engineerAsked her, "Don't you know that you're supposed to show me some better computers before bringing up my own ?"The River Goddess, angered at this, replied, "I know that, you stupid donkey! The first two things I showed you were the Trillennium and the Billennium, the latest computers from IBM !". So saying, she disappeared with the Pentium!!********Moral :If you're not up-to-date with technology trends, it's better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you're a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

The Worlds first Dynamic Architecture A Green Environmental Tower - DubaiThe Dynamic Architecture building, which will be constantly in motion changing its shape, will be able to generate electric energy for itself as well as for other buildings. Forty-eight wind turbines fitted between each rotating floors as well as the solar panels positioned on the roof of the building will produce energy from wind and the sunlight, with no risk of pollution. The total energy produced by this inbuilt ‘powerhouse’ every year will be worth approximately seven million dollars. Each turbine can produce 0.3 megawatt of electricity, compared to 1-1.5 megawatt generated by a normal vertical turbine (windmill). Considering that Dubai gets 4,000 wind hours annually, the turbines incorporated into the building can generate 1,200,000 kilowatt-hour of energy. As average annual power consumption of a family is estimated to be 24,000 kilowatt-hour, each turbine can supply energy for about 50 families. The Dynamic Architecture tower in Dubai will be having 200 apartments and hence four turbines can take care of their energy needs. The surplus clean energy produced by the remaining 44 turbines can light up the neighborhood of the building. However, taking into consideration that the average wind speed in Dubai is of only 16 km/h the architects may need to double the number of turbines to light up the building to eight. Still there will be 40 free turbines, good enough to supply power for five skyscrapers of the same size. The horizontal turbines of the Dynamic Architecture building are simply inserted between the floors, practically invisible. They neither need a pole nor a concrete foundation. In addition, they are at zero distance from the consumer, which makes maintenance easier. The modern design of the building and the carbon fiber special shape of the wings take care of the acoustics issues. Producing that much electric energy without any implication on the aesthetic aspect of the building is a revolutionary step in tapping alternative energy sources. Furthermore, this energy will have a positive impact on the environment and economy.

Shortest word is I Sweetest word is love. Cutest word is u. If you really love someone, They always wait for her till sun &moon finish. When love is not madness. It is not Love. The Love we give away is the only one we keep. The wrapth of a smile, a soft gentle touch, Love is for special people who care very much. Love is the answer that everyone seeks. Love is the language that every heart speaks. Tell the world to stop turning. Tell the rain to stop falling. Tell the sky not to be so blue. Tell my heart to stop beating. But don't tell me to stop missing u. Love is just like life every path isn't easy nor does every path contains happiness, but if we don't live life then why should we live our love. Life is a flower for which love is the honey True love is like ghost. which everybody talks about. but few have seen. We learn only from those we love. You may only be one person to the world, But you may also be the world to one person. love is and ocean of emotions, entirely surrounded by expenses. There are many more people trying to meet right person .Than to become right person. Where there is pain there is relief. Where there is joy there is sorrow. Where there is separation there will be togetherness. If you don't like something change it. If you can't change it, change the way you think about it. It's true we don't know what we have until we lose it. But it's also true we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives into love.
